Horse professionals often carry quiet grief while unlearning harmful or traditional horsemanship practices—grief for horses, for past selves, for lost certainty, and for relationships that may change along the way. You don’t have to hold that alone.
Beginning February 2026, Dr. Rebecca Cohen (psychologist) is facilitating a 6-month peer grief support group for horse people who are navigating this transition with care, accountability, and a desire to do better.
This group meets once per month for a 90-minute live virtual session and offers a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed space to process grief, guilt, shame, anger, tenderness, and meaning-making—while staying grounded in compassion for both humans and horses. This is a peer support and grief-processing space, not skills training or clinical psychotherapy.

$600 $480 total — discounted rate. All funds go directly to Stable Grounds Therapeutic Farm Sanctuary, Inc to support ongoing programming dedicated to land justice, equine wellbeing, and trauma healing.
