We live, work, and are building on the traditional lands of the Paugussett, Wappinger, Quinnipiac, & Hammonassets people—much of which is stolen, unceded, and occupied.

Stable Grounds Sanctuary aims to create a space for healing both land, humans, and non-humans. We acknowledge the level of trauma the land we call home has already seen, as well as the people who have been forcibly removed from it. We seek opportunities to be in better relationship with our Indigenous neighbors for a more healing future for all. We are committed to ongoing relationship-building with Indigenous partners to ensure that Stable Grounds' development incorporates and is in line with their current land-based priorities.
