✨🌱Spring Has Sprung!

Exciting Announcements from SGS

We are thrilled to share that we have been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to support our general operations! This generous funding will help us continue providing sanctuary and healing through our programs, including the care of our beloved Mandy.

With this support, we are excited to offer:

TWO cohorts of Support Groups for Therapists— A space to acknowledge the position of front line providers who are at once impacted by the current political climate and also serving others who are directly targeted. These groups are full and currently running.

A One-day retreat in Massachusetts this May!

co-facilitated by Dr. Rebecca Cohen and our horse trainer, Farah DeJohnette (that sold out within a few days of it’s launch 🤯). A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to SGS.

Rebecca has been invited to return to the Navajo reservation in July. She will again join Dr. Tami DeCoteau to co-facilitate a three-day workshop for a school district’s staff on self care as well as school based sensory rooms.

Our next Children’s Horse Experience in August, where young participants connect with horses in a nurturing environment– also with Farah’s guidance at her farm.

Each of these offerings is designed with deep intention—to provide refuge, connection, and healing in these challenging times as we nurture the dreams of the world we wish to see.

🌿 Stay tuned for a special lesson from Mandy about how to navigate these trying times with wisdom and presence.

📅 Mark your calendars for the Great Give on May 7-8! This is a powerful opportunity to support our work. If you’d like to help us promote this fundraiser, we’d love to collaborate—just send us an email!

We are so grateful for this Grant Award and for each of you who make this work possible. Thank you for being part of our community!

P.S. Every donation helps us develop and offer more healing opportunities for our growing community. If you’d like to contribute or learn more about how to support our work, visit our website.
